It is more of a guided compilation of fact. Frightening as I live inMiddletown , CT and grew on the southern end of Hamden, bordering New Haven and had no idea. I thought it would be interesting to read this book to get another view of the hysteria that wasn't limited to just Salem, Massachusetts. It didn't offer something markedly different from Salem or the earlier happenings in Europe but it was nice to see if there were any different twists. What I didn't like was the spelling of some words and the many typos that were sometimes hard to figure out. Overall it was still worth reading.
I listened to the kindle audio version of this book. It had the facts of accusations made against people, he said she said type deal. I think I was expecting more analysis. It was interesting in parts but very dry. Hard to follow all the people mentioned. The last chapter or so was very good and the historical notes.

I had the free Kindle version from Amazon. I found the book interesting, but about halfway through, it jammed, and I could not continue. I will try downloading again when I have time to finish reading it.
